The v3.2 stress index is a six-axis composite of energy and food exposure, geopolitical pressure, fiscal headroom, demography and supply concentration, normalised to a 0–1 scale.
Cambodia imports all of its fuel and a large share of its electricity from neighbouring Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, alongside domestic hydropower and coal. It is a rice exporter with a comfortable food surplus. Import reliance for energy is the standing vulnerability.
Cambodia's Tonlé Sap, the heart of its fisheries, has shrunk amid Mekong drought and upstream dams.
