The v3.2 stress index is a six-axis composite of energy and food exposure, geopolitical pressure, fiscal headroom, demography and supply concentration, normalised to a 0–1 scale.
The Dominican Republic imports all of its oil and gas, with LNG now a major part of its power mix alongside coal and renewables. A large tourism sector drives energy demand. Hurricanes and low cereal self-sufficiency are its principal exposures.
